Orange Pork Roast Recipe
This orange Pork Roast recipe is for the crockpot and makes 8 servings.
Ingredients
• 1 3- to 4-lb. pork shoulder roast, trimmed
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/8 teaspoon pepper
• 1 can frozen orange juice concentrate
• 1/4 cup honey
• 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Preparation
Season roast with salt and pepper and place in the crockpot. In a small bowl, combine orange juice concentrate, honey, cloves and nutmeg, then pour over pork. Cover and cook on high 2 hours; reduce heat to low and cook another 6 hours.
• Tip: To make a gravy for the roast, skim fat from cooking liquid in crockpot and pour remaining liquid into sauce pan. Combine 3 tablespoons flour with 1/4 cup cold water until smooth and stir into saucepan. Bring to boil and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
