Brisket Red Sauce

From Southern Living


This recipe goes with Traditional Brisket

1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
1 cup ketchup
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

Stir together all ingredients until blended. Serve sauce heated or at room temperature.


Yield: Makes 3 1/2 cups
